Job Description:
Architect, design and develop Customer Care/VPN software for 2009 and 2010 releases.
Specifically develop software for IP Diagnose, IP PAM (Proactive Maintenance), Wayport.
Work with Systems engineers for SFD reviews and provide input.
Ensure the interface specifications are accurate, sound and get them reviewed.
Work with System test and user and PSO for any software issues.

The Software Developer - Intermediate contributes to all facets of the development, maintenance, and support of systems and applications, with strong emphasis on the analysis of business requirements and written communication of technical design.
Principal Accountabilities or Duties:
Responsibilities include design, development, and unit testing of new functionality and code enhancements. The Software Developer - Intermediate will be responsible for analysis of business requirements and for accurate estimates of level of effort for analysis, design, and coding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to meet the responsibility for inter-team communication of technical and interface specifications. Some analytical support of user reported problems to determine appropriate resolution options, on-call support and problem resolution of production systems will be required. Duties include:

Qualifications
The candidate should be proficient in software design, development and unit testing. The individual should possess excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills. The individual must possess the ability to accurately estimate the level of effort required for planned designs. The candidate should possess strong problem solving, debugging and application and code maintenance skills. The individual must be comfortable adapting to a rapidly moving client focus and must be adept at multitasking. Also critical would be the ability to manage change, effectively test fixes and enhancements and adhere to Software Development Life Cycle principles.
